 " I adore paint. I love its physical sensuality, its insistence on the imprint of the body and hand and its capability to capture something of the zeitgeist. My practice is a kind of speculative cartography in which to explore potential meanings of what painting is and can be.  Over many years my practice has absorbed a range of visual and conceptual interests and these include; drawing in landscapes, a love of Japanese gardens, textures and textiles, an interest in ecology, weather systems, satellite images, topographical maps, and more recently psychological atmospheres and theories of space and time. Integration and layering are at the heart of the content and process of my practice."
